There are thousands of students and young adults living in Toronto who consider themselves Israeli; either because they were born in Israel or lived there while en route from the Former Soviet Union. Fanan, Hillel’s Israeli student group, seeks to integrate these young adults through involvement in social, educational, and cultural programs. Through Fanan many Israeli young adults feel, perhaps for the first time, that they have a home in Toronto’s Jewish community.
