Holocaust and Genocide Awareness Week brings together multiple partners to raise awareness and educate the campus population about the Holocaust and past genocides in order to encourage action against genocide today. The intention is to ensure that the Holocaust plays a relevant, prominent place on campus in providing the foundation for understanding genocide in the 20th century and until today.
The impact of the programming is not only felt in the thousands of students reached by the events and materials, but also a deeper understanding and inter-cultural dialogue is developed by the students from various student groups who work together in committee in planning the initiatives for the week.
