Roadmap of Isreal

On Wednesday March 9th, Hillel’s Israel On Campus converted Western University’s Community Center into a roadmap of Israel! Students got to visit the ‘Western’ wall, float in the Dead Sea, and feel the sand atop Masada all on their way to class. We had tables with informative boards divided up by city for students to engage in and learn about the diversity of Israel. There were so many activities to participate in, like voting on your favourite city in Israel, making a bracelet with your Hebrew name on it, and meeting an (almost) real live camel. With Israeli music, tons of decorations, and loads of goodies being given out, Israel Day certainly brightened up our UCC for the day and put smiles on the faces of any student walking by. Thank you to Israel On Campus and Western Hillel for bringing Israel to campus in such a creative and unique way.
