Introducing... |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
We are pleased to present to you the Wolfond Centre, a partnership of Hillel of Greater Toronto, Jewish Toronto Tomorrow: The Dream Downtown, UJA Federation, and the Toronto Jewish community. The Wolfond Centre
centre of Jewish life on campus - a home for Hillel at the University of Toronto: As the new 14,000 square foot building emerged
at the northwest corner of Harbord and Huron Streets, its impact on the
campus community is noticeable. "The structure itself is becoming
something powerful to the students," says Kaye. The building, masterfully designed by Toronto architect, Susan Friedrich, is adjacent to Robarts Library and at the heart of the campus. Some of the features of the Wolfond Centre are described here in more detail. The Wolfond Centre has come to life through generous donations and the dedication of volunteers and professionals. Still, additional additional funding is needed to continue supporting various programs such as Friday night Shabbat dinners, conferences, speakers, seminars, tzedek Hillel, arts and culture programming, and many more wonderful programs in which students will benefit from now and in the future. Please consider making a gift today by making a donation, securely online. Our presence has to be visible and attractive to capture the attention of today's busy and hard-working students. It also must be comfortable and welcoming to everyone, and for this reason the Wolfond Centre for Jewish Campus Life is a dream come true.
